What will I receive as part of the Blue Moon Mexican Café franchise system?

You and your key staff will complete training at our headquarters, plus you'll get pre-opening help at your own location. You'll have access to all the Blue Moon Mexican Café procedures, systems, and recipes. And, you’ll receive, among other things, a detailed operating manual and the rights to use our trademarks.

Do I need prior restaurant industry experience?

Experienced restaurant business professionals will make up the bulk of Blue Moon Mexican Café franchisees. If you do not have prior restaurant management experience, we would expect that one of your business partners would, in order to ensure the efficient operation of the franchise. We will, however, provide operational training to you and your key staff.

What training will I receive?

Blue Moon Mexican Café will provide up to 8 weeks of training to you and your key managerial staff. Plus, we'll provide onsite assistance as you initiate operations. There is no additional charge for these training services, but you must pay any travel and living expenses while attending the training at our headquarters.

What is the initial fee?

The franchise fee is $40,000. This fee funds our pre-opening support of your operation, including your initial headquarters-based training and on-site assistance.

How much is the total initial investment?

The estimated initial investment is estimated to be between $370,200 and $482,500. As with any new business venture, it’s important that you have the capital needed to adequately fund your new business. Therefore, we expect you to have a minimum net worth of $600,000.

What is the term of the franchise agreement?

The initial term of your Blue Moon Mexican Café agreement is 10 years, with two optional 5-year renewal terms.

Are there ongoing fees paid to Blue Moon Mexican Café?

Franchisees will be required to pay a royalty of 5%. The royalty helps to fund our ongoing support services and the continued development of new procedures, recipes, training programs, and systems upgrades.

Are there any advertising fees?

Franchisees will be required to spend up to 2% of revenues on local marketing, plus they will contribute 1% of gross revenues toward a system-wide marketing fund. These funds are used to develop marketing strategies to promote the Blue Moon Mexican Café brand and fund the creative costs to develop local marketing materials.

What about ongoing support?

We will provide ongoing support services to you by phone, email, and periodic on-site visits to your restaurant location. Plus, we regularly update our operations manual with new procedures, recipes, and other information designed to improve operations for all franchisees.
